Areia Beach Guest House

A rustic but comfortable Guest House in Vila do Conde, a picturesque village close to Porto with stunning views of the lake. Perfect for a romantic getaway, or to enjoy trekking, swimming and cruising magnificent Lake Como.

The space

The apartment takes up the top floor of a historic stone house which was originally the residence of the local priest. It consists of two double bedrooms and a spacious lounge/dining room (all with amazing lake views), plus a kitchen and bathroom with all conveniences. The lounge room has a sofa bed which sleeps two if required. Many original features have been preserved, including the characteristic terracotta tiled floors. Careno is a tranquil village of pretty stone houses and cobbled paths leading down to the lake shore, with a small secluded beach perfect for swimming in the summer months.

Guest access

Guests have the exclusive use of the whole apartment, which has some internal steps. The layout of the apartment and the hillside location of the village make it unsuitable for guests with limited mobility. Apart from the main road and public parking area at the top of the village, Careno is blissfully free of cars.

Interaction with guests

The owners will provide all information by e-mail in Portuguese, English, Spanish, Italian or French. Local contacts are available if necessary.

Other things to note: A minimum of three nights booking is required, plus a final cleaning fee of 50 Euro.
